OVERVIEW
The holidays represent Whatastore's biggest retail moment of the year, with new product drops launching throughout the holiday season. The client needed to drive awareness and sales across a complex promotional calendar: a pre-Black Friday apparel sale, a multi-day Black Friday weekend event featuring their new holiday collection, and a 12 Days of Christmas promotion (December 1-12) with daily flash sales. The challenge was creating a cohesive campaign that could flex across multiple sale periods while cutting through the noise of holiday advertising.
STRATEGIC APPROACH
We built a media strategy designed to maintain presence while capitalizing on key conversion moments:
Always-on creative to maintain visibility throughout the season
Pre-Black Friday push focused on apparel discounts to drive early momentum
Black Friday weekend surge showcasing the holiday collection across the multi-day sale
Strategic spikes on high-traffic days (Cyber Monday, 30% Off, Free Shipping Day) during the 12 Days of Xmas promotion
Abandoned cart retargeting with exclusive free shipping codes to recover lost sales, plus catalog ads for product discovery

CREATIVE APPROACH
We brought maximum Whatastore cheer to the campaign by centering it around beloved Christmas traditions, Santa's workshop, present opening, family photos, and holiday gatherings, all with an irreverent Whatastore twist. The campaign incorporated the playful tagline "Oh Whata…", a festive riff on the classic Christmas song "Jingle Bells."
We built two custom sets, Santa's Workshop and a Christmas living room, to bring the campaign to life.
Our festive, scroll-stopping creative proved that a little Whatastore magic makes everything merrier.
